A Bit About Me
Sandtrice D. Russell is a Licensed Mental Health Professional with 18 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems and adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) & comorbid Chemical Dependency disorders. Sandtrice graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of West Georgia in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanistic Psychology.

Upon graduating from West Georgia, She began working with youth at several Residential Treatment facilities to include: KidsPeace, Inner Harbour, and Kiya House, Inc. Sandtrice spent three years of her career working with Juvenile Sex Offenders at The Center for Creative Growth and Human Development, in LaGrange, Georgia, before returning to academia in order to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which she obtained in December of 2012 from Troy State University in Phenix City, Alabama. Sandtrice worked as a Counseling Intern at the Pastoral Institute in Columbus, Georgia, while also serving as an Instructor/Case Manager for Paxen Learning Corporation, a GED/Career Development Program in Griffin, Georgia.
She currently works as a Team Operations Coordinator for the Department of Veteran's Affairs and provides individual and couple's counseling via her private practice Unique Destiny Counseling, Teledoc, and Spring Health EAP Services. Sandtrice has a passion for working with others and empowering them to prosper on their life journey. She specializes in life coaching, financial counseling, clinical risk assessment, crisis management, and Reality Therapy, a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality. Sandtrice has a passion for working with members of the LGBTQIA+ population and has received specialized training for working with the unique issues faced by this dynamic group of people. Sandtrice is a member of Psi Chi, Phi Kappa Phi, and the American Counseling Association. She is also a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia.
